On Friday, 20 March at 18:00, A-Galerii will open window exhibitions by Maia Hellman (SWE) and Anne Reinberg (EST).
In her exhibition “Activated by Light”, Maia Hellman explores the durability of materials. Glass becomes thinner with each process; ceramics are porous and receptive; iron endures the longest.
Hellman is a Swedish-Portuguese artist working with ceramics, metal and glass. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Metal Art from the University of Gothenburg and is currently completing her Master’s studies in Craft Studies at the Estonian Academy of Arts.
In her exhibition “Fracture and Traces”, Anne Reinberg examines how folding marks and heat affect materials.
Reinberg graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts with a Bachelor’s degree in Jewellery and Blacksmithing. Her work combines silver, wood and crystals, revealing patterns hidden in natural structures and the mathematical principles that shape them.
The exhibitions at A-Galerii are supported by the Cultural Endowment of Estonia.
