    Püha Siimeoni ja Naisprohvet Hanna kirik

    Püha Siimeoni ja Naisprohvet Hanna kirik on õigeusu kirik Tallinnas, mis ehitati sadama lähedale vene madruste algatusel aastatel 1752-1755. See on neljas Põhjasõja järel eeslinna ehitatud õigeusu kirik. Kuna rannajoon oli tollal linnale palju lähemal, siis rajati kirik peaaegu veepiirile. Vundamendiks kasutati palju pinnasetäidet või siis ka legendi kohaselt hukkunud laevade rususid. 

    Kirikutekstiilide muuseum on avatud kolmapäevast reedeni 11–17, laupäeval 12–14 ja pühapäeval 12–15. Sissepääs on tasuta. Kellatorni pääseb läbi kiriku eeskoja ja kaupluse.

      Came across this beautiful wooden church while walking to the supermarket but it was a pity it was closed. Apparently it was constructed by Russian sailors over 200 years ago.

      We came by this small Orthodox church on our way to the port. It may be small but certainly rich inside.
