    Tallinna Kaarli kirik

    Rootsi kuningas Karl XI mälestusele pühendatud jumalakoda on esinduslik ja suurim historitsistlik paekivikirik. Projekteerija, Eesti juurtega Peterburi arhitekt Otto Pius Hippius soovis, et kantsel ja altar kui jumalateenistuse keskpunktid peaksid kõikidelt istekohtadelt kirikus nähtavad ja sõna selgelt kuuldavad olema. Ta pidas oluliseks kiriku väljanägemise kunstilist aspekti ja väga head valgustust.

    Kaarli kirikut
    kaunistavad ja on vaatamist väärt J. Köleri ja S. Kügelgeni altarimaalid. Vanimaks osaks on tornikellad, 1884 valmis 30 registriga mehaanilise traktuuriga Eesti suurim orel.

      Kaarli church is not like the other churches in Tallinn and has got its own unique architecture. You might find it not open at certain times of the day, though the interior is pretty small.
