    Taani kuninga aed

Taani kuninga aed asub Tallinna vanalinnas Toompea Niguliste-poolsel nõlval. Legendi järgi olevat 1219. a taanlaste vallutusretkel langenud seal taevast alla lipp, mis toonud kuningas Valdemar II lahinguõnne. Lipust sai hiljem Taani riigilipp ja skulptuur «Tuli lipp» pajatabgi sellest legendi.

Legende aia kohta on teisigi, aga ilmselt taanlaste enam kui 100 aastat Tallinnas ja Põhja-Eestis kestnud võim aiale mingil moel nime andis.

Kolme munga skulptuure aias täiendab valguslahendus ning infotahvel linnamüüril.

Huvitav: Iga aasta 15. juunil tähistatakse aias Dannebrogi ehk Taani lipu päeva.
