Tallinna Oleviste kirik
Oleviste kirik on Tallinna suurim keskaegne ehitis, mille 60 meetri kõrguselt vaateplatvormilt avanevad suurepärased vaated Tallinna ajaloolisele vanalinnale. Esmakordselt 1267. aastal mainitud kirik sai oma nime pühakuks kuulutatud Norra kuninga Olav II järgi. Kiriku silmapaistev tornikiiver on tänapäeval 123 meetrit kõrge, kuid 15. sajandil oli tornikiivri kõrguseks lausa 159 meetrit, mis tegi Oleviste kirikust ilmselt ühe kõrgeima ehitise keskaegses Euroopas.
Huvitav teada: Välk on kiriku torni tabanud vähemalt kümmekond korda, millest kolmel on kirik ka põlema läinud – 1625, 1820, 1931.
