See kolmelööviline neogooti stiilis pühakoda kesklinna südames Vabaduse väljakul valmis 1867. Stiilne altarikujundus maaliga ”Kristus ristil” (Karl Gottlieb Wenig, värviküllased vitraažaknad) ja hoonest vanemad kroonlühtrid annavad kirikule sära. Kirikutornis asub Tallinna vanim eestikeelse kirjaga kirikukell (1872).
Tallinna Jaani kirikus saab imetleda kümmet vitraažakent, mille autoriks on kunstnik Dolores Hoffmann. Vitraažid räägivad erinevaid lugusid Johannese evangeeliumist. Evangelistide Johannese ja Luukase vitraažid on pimedal ajal ka valgustatud.

This yellow church looks perfect! Everytime I visit Tallinn, I visit JAANI KIRIK. I like everything: interior, silent inside and this wonderful geometry of building of church.
A very modest church certainly not as impressive as others in the city, but still worth a visit. Not too far from the center (walking distance)
Went to the church today and when I walked inside there was organ and fuete music playing. The acoustics were very good. Outside is interesting but the inside is very nice.
