    Restaurant MOON

MOON is a tricky word. In English, it means the Moon; however, when pronounced the Estonian way [mɔːn], it stands for a beautiful red flower (poppy).

A few years ago, Roman and Igor decided to toss their tall white chef's hats in the corner and go back to their roots, and thus, restaurant Moon was born. Quoting a good friend of the owners and a wonderful person who said after visiting Moon for the first time: “You have to go back to move forward!”

Simplicity, independence, local raw ingredients, integrity and respect, Nordic coolness. An unusual name. Unusual location. But a very usual place otherwise. Restaurant MOON has been selected to the Top 50 of the best restaurants in Estonia for several years running.

Lovely food very well presented with attentive staff. The borsch and seafood starters were very good and we thoroughly enjoyed the liver in red wine sauce

Let’s be honest, Estonia surely is not a country you consider when you think about countries with strong gastronomical scenes. In such countries, it is harder to establish restaurants that don’t fall... Read more comments
