Naissaar Military Museum

Naissaar Military Museum takes you into the island's exciting, multi-layered history, where peaceful nature hides traces of sea fortresses, war, and the Soviet occupation. The museum is located on Naissaar, in a former Soviet-era servicemen's residence, and provides good insight into how the island's strategic location has influenced its development.

The exhibition introduces the history and development of sea fortresses, the island's role in defense systems across various eras, and the lives of local residents during challenging times. The display features shell fragments, weapon details, photos, and other items that help visitors understand Naissaar's military heritage. A large part of the exhibition space consists of Soviet army equipment and Soviet propaganda prints, providing a characteristic background of the era.

The museum can be visited during the summer season by prior arrangement for groups. Individual tickets are available at the café near the museum.
