With over 8,500 plant species and 123 hectares of space, the garden is a great destination for both botany study and relaxation.
The Tallinn Botanic Garden's extensive, lush greenhouses – where you can find everything from banana plants to decorative house plants – are open to visitors all year round. The garden frequently hosts special exhibits of beautiful, sensual, flagrant and exotic flowers. There are also displays following a different theme each month such as medicinal and poisonous plants, exotic fruits, taste and smell, mushrooms, cutting flowers and more.
In summer, the garden makes a perfect, family-friendly spot for picnics and the occasional outdoor concert, and a stroll through the rose garden is always a must.
Audioguides (included in the ticket price) are an invaluable help when exploring the flora. They are available in English and Russian.
Thematic tours are also conducted throughout the year, the most popular among them being the summer-night aroma tours and the rose days.
Another popular city attraction, the Tallinn TV Tower, is located very close to the garden. A combined visit to these two spots makes for a great full day out with family or friends.
Entrance to the Botanic Garden and the Tallinn TV Tower is free with Tallinn Card.

Lovely flowers and interesting greenhouse. Took Bolt there and back. Very affordable. They have a lot of specialised days and weeks, when you can get into plants very intensely.
Great day out for all family! Beautiful flower beds, orangeries, alpine display and forestry. Take an audio guide too to refresh your memory on plant names!
