Kiek in de Kök Fortifications Museum

Those interested in ancient weaponry, battles and the like should drop into this massive, medieval cannon tower, home to a museum of the town’s defences. Visitors will see examples of centuries-old fire power, displays detailing how the city`s elaborate fortification system developed through the centuries and an exhibit on crime and punishment in old Tallinn. The cafe on the uppermost floor of the tower offers magnificent views and can be used for seminars and other get-togethers. Lunch breaks can also be organized at the neighboring Maiden Tower. Kiek in de Kök museum also serves as the entrance to the fascinating Bastion Tunnels.
