From May 31 to June 4, 2023 will take place the 35th International Folklore Festival Baltica! This year the festival takes place in Estonia and its theme is “HERITAGE ATTRACTS!” – let’s allow the heritage attract us and let us join in on everything!
On June 1, local heritage parties will be held in Järva County on Vargamäe, in the courtyard of the Museum of A.H. Tammsaare and in Põlva County in the courtyard of Räpina Creative House. In addition to local heritage bearers, foreign groups are also expected at the festivals.
On June 2-4, a heritage village will be established on the Towers’ Square in Tallinn, where guests can learn about the traditions of different locations: dances, songs, playing of instruments, handicrafts, storytelling, food and language rooms.
