Where can I buy the Tallinn Card?
You can buy your Tallinn Card online. You can also buy one on board of Tallinn-bound ferries or pick one up immediately upon arrival at the airport, ferry passenger port or bus station. If you didn't buy it there, chances are it's available at your hotel's reception desk. It's also sold at the centrally-located Tallinn Tourist Information Centre and in various travel agencies. How does it work?
The Tallinn Card is valid from the first time it is used and remains valid for the period specified by the card type, i.e. 24h, 48h or 72h. You must activate your mobile Tallinn Card on the start date you selected when you bought it and as indicated on the ticket. It will then be valid for 24, 48 or 72 hours from that moment. Show the Tallinn Card at the admission desks in museums and sights and to sightseeing tour providers. To receive discounts in cafés, restaurants and shops, remember to show your card before ordering or making a purchase. In buses, trolleys and trams, just validate your card by touching it to one of the orange card readers (at all vehicle entrances) at the start of each journey. Mobile Tallinn Cards can only be validated using the lower screen on the validator by the front door of the bus, trolley bus or tram.
When does my Tallinn Card become activated?
The Tallinn Card is activated the first time you use it and remains valid for the specified number of hours purchased, i.e. 24h, 48h or 72h. So you can buy it before your trip and start using it at any time during your stay in Tallinn.
You must activate your mobile Tallinn Card on the start date you selected when you bought it and as indicated on the ticket. The start date selected when buying a mobile Tallinn Card cannot be changed.
Is it possible to visit a museum more than once with the Tallinn Card?
No, the Tallinn Card is valid for only one admission to each attraction.
Is the Tallinn Card valid on consecutive days?
Yes. For instance, if you start a 24-hour card at noon today, it will be valid until noon tomorrow.
Are discounts available for students/seniors/families/groups?
There is no special price for students or seniors. We offer special prices for children up to 17 years old (inclusive). With an adult card you can bring along two children under 7 for free. Groups of 10 or more are eligible for a 10% discount on their Tallinn Cards when they purchase them directly from the
Tallinn Tourist Information Centre. Payment for the cards can be made either in cash or by credit card.
Can I get a refund for the Tallinn Card or exchange it?
No, the Tallinn Card is non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for other types of cards.
