    Estonian Theatre for Young Audiences

Tallinn’s much-loved puppet theatre stages everything from glove puppet shows to musicals. It also boasts a high-tech museum.

The theatre, located in Old Town, has been captivating audiences of all ages with its imaginative stories and colourful characters since 1952. Short shows and plays meant for young children, lasting 30 to 45 minutes, are staged here. For tots to teenagers, there are fairy tales, musicals and works by Estonian authors. Watching a show here will certainly be an experience to treasure for adults as well.

NUKU houses the fun, cutting-edge Museum for Puppet Arts NUKU, which gives a behind-the-scenes look at the theatre, outlining its history and displaying dozens of the puppets that have starred in its popular plays.

The building also has its own kids' cafeteria and sweet shop!

Passersby on Nunne street can enjoy mechanical steam theatre in the cute window display.

Fascinating exploration of puppetry and theatre over time. Loved ‘le petit gavroche’ and the steam punk puppetry. Fascinating to watch clips of performances on their time machine.
