A landscape protection area established here in 2004, encompassing hills, sands, natural springs and a pine grove, all within the suburbs of Tallinn. The urban forest is a popular place for walks in the summer, and cross country skiing in the winter. The largest natural spring is called Rõõmuallikas (Joy Spring), and up to 25 springs can be seen here. Glehn Castle, a small manor completed as a summer resort in 1886, is tucked in the nature reserve as well.
