Kolu Tavern at the Estonian Open Air Museum

Kolu Tavern in Tallinn is one of the true gems of the Estonian Open Air Museum – it is not just a tavern, but a true-to-time insight into the dining and living conditions of 19th-century peasants. The food and tavern culture here reflect the customs and tastes of Estonian peasants.

The tavern serves home-cooked Estonian cuisine, as well as traditional holiday dishes on special occasions. The menu features dishes that were beloved by the ancestors of Estonians, including mulgi porridge, bread, kali, sprat sandwiches, and more.

The tap room and the master’s chamber are suitable for holding smaller events.

Note: Dining at the tavern is only possible with a museum ticket.
