The first International Music Day was held in 1975. It is celebrated on 1 October globally. Since 2013, the Estonian Music Council has been organising free concert programmes where live concerts take place all over Estonia. The concerts offer direct musical experiences and introduce various musicians. The concert programme invites people to notice the role and importance of music in our everyday life. On 1 October, music will sound in concert halls from Narva to Kuressaare. The culmination of the day happens in the evening, at the music awards ceremony where the Cultural Endowment of Estonia and the Music Council recognise our best musicians and give awards.
The event information is still being updated.
