The Estonian Children's Literature Center is located in Tallinn's Old Town on Pikk Street and offers an inspiring environment for all book lovers. The center is dedicated to children's books and the stories contained within them.
Our building houses a library, a treasury introducing the history of Estonian children's literature, an illustration gallery, and halls for performances and workshops. On the first floor, the Edgar Valter Gallery is where you can meet beloved characters created by the illustrator. On the top floor, there is a fairytale attic inspired by the book "Nukitsamees." Here you can play, read books, or participate in hobby groups.
The center hosts a variety of events and exciting hobby groups where you can develop reading skills, learn creative writing, or practice illustration. All families are invited to Saturday family mornings, featuring well-known writers and illustrators. The youngest book lovers in the family are welcome to toddler sessions. Children's birthdays and Christmas parties can also be held at the center.
