Sänk "Blue Deer"

The work "Blue Deer" is a brightly colored painting that brings together the symbols of both Estonia and Mexico. The painting depicts a blue deer among green cacti. The tradition of the Huichol tribe from Mexico is to look for blue deer to find wisdom. Similarly, Estonians are looking for a fern that would bring happiness and wealth.

The author of the work is Sänk, an artist with roots in Võru, who has been involved in street art for over 20 years. Thanks to him, the mural was completed in 2017 as part of the Mextonia Street Art Festival. The aim of the festival was to create art together that would unite not only both nations but also culture.
