Edgar Tedresaar ‘Power Carriage’

The work ‘Power Carriage’ is a scene from Tanel Toom’s film ‘Truth and Justice’, where a man called Pearu stands on a carriage pulled by a horse. It helps to compare the present day with the past. In those days, every man had his own carriage; today, every household has its own power carriage and the speed has changed considerably.

The artist behind the work is Edgar Tedresaar, Estonian painter and member of the art group Piiritus. Paavo Kuldkepp, Katre Salu and Ahto Eller also contributed to the work. The mural was completed in 2019. Besides an apartment building, it also enhances the surrounding environment with its colourful appearance.
