Excursion to Murru prison

Murru Prison was a camp-type detention facility. In most cases, detainees were able to move freely from cell to cell inside the block. There were cases when the guards did not dare to enter the blocks alone and were afraid to search the detainees.

During the excursion, you will hear what really happened in the prison. The guide talks about things as they were in the 90s – honestly and without sugar-coating. You will be able to move around in the abandoned prison buildings where time seems to stand still.

The excursion starts behind the prison gates. Participants will have to find transport to the prison on their own!
