House of Peter the Great Museum

The House of Peter the Great is Tallinn's oldest museum, opened already in 1806, and is a valued historical monument in the picturesque Kadriorg Park.

The museum's permanent exhibition features many well-preserved original items used three hundred years ago, as well as unique paintings and sculptures.
In the early 18th century, this modest yet dignified building served as a summer residence for Russian Emperor Peter I during his visits to Tallinn, as from the terrace, he could see the sea and the city.

Today, the house operates as a branch of the Tallinn City Museum, where visitors can explore the emperor's lifestyle, 18th-century interiors, and the era's material culture. Preserved furniture, paintings, and personal items create an immediate connection to the past and provide a vivid impression of the living conditions of the time. The building's cozy atmosphere and historical value make it a unique destination for both culture enthusiasts and visitors to Tallinn who wish to discover the city's rich and diverse heritage.

Not much too it. Short film in the basement to set the scene, then three rooms to look round. Not much in them. Not really worth the entry fee
