Poolamägi

This area was formerly a Catholic cemetery established at the beginning of 19th century. Many of the Catholics here were from Poland and therefore the area was called Poolamägi or Poland hill. Between the Poolamägi and the rest of the cemetery once flowed Härjapea river. After the World War II as with many of the city's other cemeteries the area was reconstructed as a park.
