Adventus Domini

Adventus Domini – the Coming of the Lord – marks the beginning of Advent, the upcoming holiday season with loved ones, and moments of quiet reflection. On the same day, beneath the vaults of Niguliste Church, music that nourishes the soul will sound in the glow of the Shishi Christmas tree.

The concert Adventus Domini presents the audience with beautiful Advent music, where the antiphons of the 11th-century Catholic nun Hildegard von Bingen resonate with works by Italian composer Ottorino Respighi and Danish conductor and composer Bo Holten.

Performing at the concert are soloists Maria Listra, Tuuri Dede and Rafael Dicenta, the chamber choir Avis Animi (choir masters Leiu Ryland-Jones and Zhizhong Xie), and an instrumental ensemble brought together specially for this concert (Mari-Liis Vind, Linda Vood, Ingely Laiv-Järvi, Riivo Kallasmaa, Diogo Andre Moutinfo, Dila Naz İşcan, Lea Valiulina, Maksim Štšura).

The concert is conducted by Ingrid Mänd.
